Tyler

Born in early July, 1973, I have been a lifelong fan of music and pop culture.  I have always wanted to be a rockstar, and although I realized that dream as not real around age 17, I still long for it.

In my early years, I did found object art a lot.  No money and the fascination wears off eventually.  I also took too many art courses in early ‘90’s college, which really just caused me to play stoner frisbee after lunch.  Then stuff happened.  Homelessness, peelers, fashion, crazy relationship, drug issues, you name it, I tried it.  Upon becoming a parent, I needed to alter my rockstar dream.

For about 15 years, it was just not an easy reality for me to achieve artistic status, but the time came.  I blossomed.  I found an art that actually made enough money to support my habit of learning and creating.  You can find it haphazardly attended to, these days, at twylytehour.com . Yes, my artistic revelation was recycling… yes I made stuff, but money is a different story.  Then my kid left for college.

When he left, I had to do SOMETHING, so, being a podcast addict, I called a few opinionated friends who had been coming over for dinner/conversation anyway, and I presented an idea.  That all went sideways, but it evened out finally, and here I am… Still trying to be a “rockstar”, but doing it in a way that pleases me even as I move forward everyday….

Now older than I ever expected to live, I am still chasing a dream...a dream that will probably remain a dream, but at least you, dear listener, will be left as clueless as I am; as to what the Fuck is happening.

So, since I cannot remember to send Tyler, nor Jon an actual bio, besides claiming that I have one; This is Tyler and Jon doing it for me.

Born sometime before dinosaurs, and present at every major event ever, I bring my witty candor and Dodgy Google ™ , and remember when and where to be and go.

I have never been “employed”, but have always had a job.  I am perpetually both self employed and unemployable.  But you will love me.

Oh, and I like big words.

I was born in July, 1973.  Nope, Tyler didn’t get two bios.  I’ve been working in nightclubs for the past twenty years, if you want to know which kind, listen to the show.  Because of those twenty years in the bar business I have spent the last four working my way through college, accounting specifically.  (Numbers don’t get drunk and puke in the bathrooms.)

I’ve known Tyler for more than half my lifetime which is a testament to either my patience or his, you decide which.  Rupert has been a rather recent addition to my life and one that has provided countless hours of jaw dropping, “Holy Shit!!  He just said that!!” moments.

I’ve been a fan of chinese martial arts for a number of years and the philosophies that go along with them and while I try to observe those lessons, they tend to have had only mild success.

This podcast is the most recent example of the types of adventures that I tend to find myself in and I am sure that if it wasn’t this, it would be something else equally as harebrained and just as entertaining.
